About The Role

DNV Høvik is looking for a tech lead and senior software developer for DNV Maritime’s digitalization transition.

DNV is the world’s largest classification society with a global presence. DNV is a self-owned foundation, with the purpose of safeguarding life, property, and the environment. Located at DNV’s head office, you will be part of the team delivering systems for new digital services and digitalization of the global production processes and systems. The team consists of experienced programmers, working in teams together with domain experts and data scientists.

You will be part of the Smart Use of Data team, delivering platforms and systems that drive digitalization by creating and enabling new AI and data-driven services. This includes both application and platform development. Professional, structured, creative, and advanced programming, as well as the use of Azure components and cloud-native infrastructure is part of the team’s DNA. Our applications and platforms have a global impact through our global organization, and through cooperation with large companies.

We are looking for a senior software developer and technical lead for DNV’s in-house developed data ingest and processing platform for structured maritime data. The platform is used for DNV’s advanced compliance and verification processes to safeguard life, property and the environment. It supports the use of multiple data types, from sensor data to media files.

The platform supports DNV’s needs for data governance and data security at scale, being a key component in DNV’s digitalization of core processes. While advanced programming is your main activity in this role, an important part of your work is also to collaborate with developers, engineering domain experts and internal and external customers.

  • Extensive .NET programming experience
  • Python programming skills
  • Experience with code reviews and ensuring high code quality
  • Experience with technical roadmaps and planning
