About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer with expertise in React, Node.js, GraphQL, and TypeScript to join our client's dynamic development team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge eCommerce platforms for prestigious automotive brands such as BMW, Toyota, Jaguar Land Rover, and more. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing and developing innovative front-end interfaces and robust backend APIs that enhance the customer experience and support the company's omni-channel retail solutions.

The position is based in East Yorkshire, requiring the candidate to work four days a week in the office. This is a full-time, permanent role that provides a competitive salary of up to 45,000 along with a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in modern JavaScript/TypeScript development with proven experience in building scalable web applications. Essential qualifications include:

• Proficiency in React and TypeScript for front-end development
• Solid experience with Node.js for backend API development
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL for efficient data querying and management
• Understanding of RESTful API integration and third-party API consumption
• Experience working within Agile development methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

• Developing and maintaining engaging, responsive front-end applications using React and TypeScript
• Designing and implementing scalable backend APIs with Node.js and GraphQL
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Integrating third-party APIs and ensuring seamless data flow across platforms
• Participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to promote continuous improvement
• Conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and scalability issues
