  • has a proven track record in developing and managing early careers programs
  • is passionate about talent development and creating opportunities for young people
  • is highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • has experience in developing and managing graduate work experience programs.

Essential

Qualifications and experience

  • Degree qualification in Human Resources Management or a related field
  • Solid work experience in a similar position with exposure in developing, coordinating and overseeing early career programs to support complex work environments
  • Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills including advanced levels of written and verbal communication skills, and problem-solving skills, in alignment with organisation values
  • Suitable experience in project management and delivery of corporate programs that involve numerous stakeholders
  • Excellent computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in the use of a corporate business systems and Microsoft Office, learning development systems and electronic document management systems
  • Demonstrated experience in learning and development, and human resource information systems and related applications
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and time management to ensure numerous tasks are coordinated and completed according to agreed timeframes
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to appropriately manage confidential and sensitive information
  • Current class C driver’s licence.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations such as the Apprenticeship and Traineeship Act 2001
  • Experience with or interest in understanding the Australian Apprenticeship System, NSW and Federal Training Schemes.

Remuneration And Benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $2,165.24 per week
  • 35-hour working week
  • Car allowance
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 12% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
