About The Role

We are looking for a Junior Back-End Developer to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity if you have up to 2 years of experience (or strong academic/personal projects) and are eager to learn. You’ll help build and maintain the core back-end systems that power Hercle’s trading and infrastructure platforms, gaining exposure to high-performance systems in digital asset markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of back-end systems using C#/.NET
• Implement APIs, services, and data pipelines that integrate with other teams and external partners
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and infrastructure teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Learn to monitor, debug, and optimise system performance
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Up to 2 years of experience in software development (internships, university projects, or first job)
• Solid knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably C#/.NET)
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and software design fundamentals
• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases
• Basic knowledge of version control systems (Git)
• Motivation to learn about high-performance, distributed systems in financial markets
• Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and attention to detail
