Data Analytics Internship: Analysis & Reporting

Introduction

The Global Quality and Excellence department at ASML plays a key role in driving data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the organization. By leveraging advanced analytics and reporting tools, the team monitors performance, identifies trends, and supports strategic initiatives. We are looking for a proactive and analytical intern who is eager to contribute to customer-facing data projects and gain hands-on experience in dashboard development, data integration, and data engineering.

Your assignment

This internship offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team of 8 data professionals and work closely with a Senior Data Analyst on impactful analytics initiatives. You’ll be fully integrated into the team and guided through the ins and outs of data analysis across ASML’s entire business matrix, including cross-sectoral collaboration. Your work will involve designing and maintaining dashboards in Power BI and Spotfire, integrating data from various internal sources, and performing basic data engineering tasks. Along the way, you’ll gain hands-on experience with agile working, learn how to translate business needs into analytical solutions, and make data tangible for stakeholders—using diverse data sources such as machine data, audit results, HR information, and many more.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Dashboard Development: Assist in the design and creation of dashboards in Power BI and Spotfire, with a focus on storytelling and effective report design.
• Data Integration: Support the integration of data from multiple internal systems and databases to create cohesive and insightful reports.
• Data Engineering: Perform basic data cleaning, transformation, and validation tasks to ensure data quality and reliability.
• Documentation: Help document data workflows and reporting processes to support transparency and reproducibility.
• Collaboration: Work closely with your mentor and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
  
  

Your profile

• Are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field;
• It is a plus to have experience with Power BI and/or Spotfire, SQL, DAX, and data manipulation techniques;
• Are familiar with data integration tools and data engineering concepts;
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Have good communication and collaboration abilities;
• Are proactive and eager to learn new technologies.
  
  

"This is an internship for a minimum of 5 months, with at least 3 working days per week. Of those, you are expected to be on-site at least 1 day every two weeks. The start date is as soon as possible.

Other requirements you need to meet:

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
• You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
