Program Overview
Provide warfighters with reliable strike planning and execution tools for Theater Missile Programs while modernizing and expanding beyond Tomahawk missiles. Our work includes developing and maintaining proprietary software, offering full lifecycle support from design to deployment, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
About The Role
Peraton is seeking a software tester to join the DevOps team supporting the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) program, part of the Navy's Tomahawk Missile program. You will be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for automating the installation of a large, complex system for multiple hardware configurations and releases. This role requires you to work on-site in Santa Clara, CA
As a member of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for testing the deployment updates prior to release into production. This includes performing installs and verifying deployment changes in a development/test environment prior to the deployment media being released for installation on TMPC systems and delivery to the customer.

As a member of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for testing the deployment updates prior to release into production. This includes performing installs and verifying deployment changes in a development/test environment prior to the deployment media being released for installation on TMPC systems and delivery to the customer.
What you'll do:
- Develop and execute tests, following project standards and conventions, to install systems to verify updated deployment strategy and media for multiple releases
- Verify updates to the Installation and Setup Procedures (ISP) and provide ISP redlines to the Tech Writer
- Report test findings and document new errors per project conventions
- Understand TMPC hardware configuration and the applications/capabilities for each configuration
- Understand evolving deployment requirements for each of the TMPC configurations
- Provide or validate estimates for assigned tasks
- Follow program processes and procedures
- Contribute to the refinement of the team/project standards and conventions
- Participate in Agile ceremony ties (e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up)
What You'll need:
- Education: 0 years with BS/BA or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and have an active SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Initiative, adaptability, and attention to detail
- Ability to learn new technologies
- Ability to follow procedures and work within a collaborative team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- IT skills, including experience working with virtual environment, Microsoft Windows, and RedHat Linux
- Ability to isolate problems in a complex system environment
- Familiarity with DevOps tools, including Azure DevOps
- Experience installing complex systems
- Knowledge of Ansible and Keycloak
