They are building a high-calibre technology hub in Madrid, delivering cutting-edge AI solutions to complex, commercially impactful challenges in financial services and beyond.

They are looking for an exceptional AI Engineer – someone who combines deep technical expertise with outstanding communication skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can translate business problems into innovative AI-driven solutions.

The Role

You will take ownership of AI projects from inception to delivery, engaging with business stakeholders and leveraging advanced machine learning techniques – particularly large language models (LLMs) – to solve high-value problems. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ML systems to solve complex business problems.
• Leverage LLMs in production, including prompt design, retrieval pipelines, and agentic workflows.
• Apply knowledge of inference stack fundamentals such as KV Caching, speculative/parallel decoding, and optimisation techniques.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to frame business challenges into AI solutions.
• Stay ahead of AI and technology trends to maintain a competitive edge.
• Own technical delivery, from system design to deployment.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong machine learning fundamentals with real-world deployment experience.
• Hands-on expertise with LLMs in production environments.
• Excellent programming skills in Python and ideally C++, Java, or .NET.
• Experience with SQL databases and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Strong problem-solving mindset and entrepreneurial approach.
• Clear communicator who can engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field from a top-tier university.
• Financial services experience is advantageous but not required.
