Assignment Description:

Follow telecom technology development and corresponding requirements on IT & TE enviroment. Define technical solutions requirements and manage deployment. Drive innovation, standardization and automation. Drive change in line with ICT strategies. Secure measurable quality and performance of solutions. Responsible for user stories. Coaching/competence sharing with technical team member. Advice leadership when technical choices are to be made. Administration/documenting of systems. Propose improvements to enhance stable operations. Propose and participate in local and global improvement initiatives. Lead knowledge sharing locally. Drive activities for solutions and tools development. Act as a mentor to others.

We are seeking a Network Security Engineer with DevOps skills to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our network policy compliance tool Firemon, as well as developing Python scripts to enable and expand automations.

One should possess hands-on experience and understanding of network security principles and devices, cloud technologies, and devops skills such as Python, GIT, and Ansible.

While the immediate focus is on firewall compliance management, we envision a future where this position plays a pivotal role in shaping our overall product strategy. As we grow, there will be opportunities to focus on network security related process definitions and advising on IT Security document content.


Responsibilities

· Proficiently manage Firemon to ensure that our compliance controls run on all devices.

· Tune and create compliance controls to improve accuracy and efficiency of our firewall policy assessments.

· Actively troubleshoot connectivity related issues, collaborating with end-users to resolve any post-implementation issues promptly.

· Demonstrated capability to work independently and transparently.

· Act in accordance with the agile methodology principles.


Experience and Skills

· Hands-on experience in Python, Ansible, network security, and AWS infrastructure.

· Proficient in collaborating with end-users to identify and resolve issues.

· Have passion to learn about evolving technologies.

· Relevant certifications (AWS DevOps, SysOps etc.) would be an added advantage.

· Intermediate Linux knowledge.
