About The Role

Network Security Engineer with DevOps Skills

We are looking for a Network Security Engineer with strong DevOps capabilities to strengthen our team. You will be responsible for managing our network policy compliance tool (Firemon) and developing Python-based automations to improve and extend functionality. The role combines technical expertise in network security with a proactive approach to automation, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Initially, the focus will be on firewall compliance management, but as the role evolves there will be opportunities to contribute to product strategy, define processes, and provide input on IT security documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Firemon to ensure compliance controls are applied across all devices.
• Create and refine compliance controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency of firewall policy evaluations.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and policy-related issues, working closely with users to resolve post-implementation challenges.
• Operate independently, transparently, and in line with agile principles.
• Contribute to innovation, standardization, and automation initiatives in line with ICT strategies.
• Provide technical guidance, share knowledge with colleagues, and mentor team members.
• Support system documentation, administration, and propose improvements for stable operations.
• Participate in local and global initiatives to improve tools, solutions, and processes.
  
  

Experience And Skills

• Practical experience with Python, Ansible, network security, and AWS infrastructure.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and automation frameworks.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to collaborate effectively with end-users.
• Intermediate knowledge of Linux.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS DevOps, SysOps) are considered a plus.
• Strong interest in keeping up with emerging technologies.
