Project Architect - Design Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Architect with strong Design Management capabilities to oversee the design delivery process of complex, multidisciplinary projects.

You will play a dual role leading architectural design while managing design coordination across disciplines to ensure seamless execution aligned with client objectives, timelines, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Design Leadership:

• Lead architectural design development from concept to construction documentation.
• Ensure design quality, functionality, and innovation across all project stages.
• Review and guide design submissions, drawings, and specifications for technical accuracy and design integrity.
• Integrate sustainability and value-engineering principles into design solutions.
• Maintain compliance with local codes, international standards, and client requirements.

Design Management:

• Oversee and manage the full design lifecycle, ensuring timely coordination between architecture, structure, MEP, and specialist teams.
• Act as the main point of contact between clients, consultants, and internal teams for all design-related matters.
• Organize and lead design coordination meetings, ensuring decisions are clearly documented and communicated.
• Monitor design deliverables, schedules, and workflows, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts, risks, and bottlenecks in a proactive manner.
• Provide strategic input on procurement, construction phasing, and buildability during design phases.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, including 5+ years in a design management or multidisciplinary coordination role.
• Proven experience on large-scale commercial, hospitality, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects in the Middle East.
• Strong knowledge of regional planning regulations, authority approval processes, and local codes.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360, and project management tools (e.g., Primavera, Aconex).
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple design packages and consultants concurrently.
• Strong attention to detail and a solutions-oriented mindset.
