Junior Developer

Candour have partnered with an established retailer looking to expand their development team having had a highly successful few years in business. You will be involved in a combination of greenfield projects and working on internal systems. You will be mentored directly by the Senior developer and Lead dev, where training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain PHP-based applications.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for application functionality.
• Implement and maintain API integrations.
• Participate in front-end development using vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality, scalable code.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience working with PHP.
• Familiarity with Laravel or Symfony frameworks is beneficial, but not essential.
• Proficient in SQL and database management, ideal.
• Experience with API integrations.
• Basic front-end development skills (vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
