Reporting to the Director of ICT & Digital Transformation, the Head of Cybersecurity & ICT Risk will have extensive previous cybersecurity and risk management experience, hold industry certification e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, CASP+, ISO27001 (or similar) and will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive security and ICT risk management strategy for the university. They will guide the development of security architecture, policies, and risk management processes, ensuring best practices, governance, compliance and managing emerging threats. They will provide guidance, implement and manage cybersecurity technologies, controls, ICT risk processes and ensure continued compliance to industry best practices, legal requirements and public sector standards.

Note: Role can be based on SETU Carlow Campus or SETU Waterford Campus

Essential Criteria

• A relevant Honours Degree (First or Second class) or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification experience in a management role in higher education or similar sized private sector organisation

• A higher qualification (Masters or PhD) or equivalent professional qualification
  
  

Salary: APO Salary Scale €85,645 - €110,152
