Data Scientist

DATA SCIENTIST - PERTH (ON---SITE) - 12 MONTHS CONTRACT

These roles will focus on operationalising and expanding the platform’s AI capabilities, maintaining existing solutions, and developing new ones aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, customise, and support enterprise-ready AI solutions within Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts for data cleaning, analysis, and modelling.
• Collaborate with business units to identify AI-driven solutions to operational challenges.
• Build predictive models and conduct statistical analyses.
• Design and implement experiments to test hypotheses and improve operations.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for sustainable code deployment.
• Work collaboratively with multi-vendor and internal teams to optimise AI capabilities.
• Engage stakeholders to resolve issues and manage risks.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven ability to work with Business Analysts and Data Engineers to map data to business requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data manipulation, machine learning, and visualisation.
• Hands-on experience with Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive, and Prescriptive Analytics.
• Deep expertise in:
• Azure AI Foundry
• Azure AI Search, Translator, Speech, Language, Vision, Content
• Azure Fabric Data Science, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos, Azure Data Fabric
• Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to influence and guide stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Industry certifications (e.g., Azure Data Scientist Associate) preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration skills.
• Extensive experience in IT Application Design.
