🌐 SD-WAN Specialist – Contract (3–6 Months, Hybrid Dublin)

Hybrid | Dublin | Initial Contract with Extension / Permanent Potential

We are looking for an experienced SD-WAN Specialist to join on a 3–6 month contract, with strong potential for extension or transition to permanent. This role is based in Dublin with a flexible hybrid working model.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

SD-WAN Design & Implementation

• Design, configure, and deploy SD-WAN solutions.
• Integrate with existing network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver projects.

Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Monitor network performance, security, and compliance.
• Resolve issues around connectivity, performance, and optimisation.
• Troubleshoot complex problems to minimise downtime.

Optimisation & Maintenance

• Conduct audits to ensure efficient bandwidth/resource use.
• Optimise performance for minimal latency and maximum availability.
• Perform updates and upgrades to maintain security and stability.

Collaboration & Support

• Provide support and training to internal teams.
• Act as SME for SD-WAN, advising on best practices.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain clear documentation of implementations and changes.
• Produce reports on performance and optimisation opportunities.

✅ Qualifications & Skills

• Strong knowledge of SD-WAN technologies (e.g. Cisco Viptela, Meraki, etc.).
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, VPNs, QoS, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with security protocols (IPsec, SSL, MPLS) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, SD-WAN-specific training).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with SD-WAN environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
