Java Back End Developer (m/f/d)

Mestrelab has established a global presence, with software sales in over 80 countries and a client list that includes many of the major pharmaceutical, biotech and chemical companies, as well as some of the most relevant government and academic laboratories worldwide. As part of SciY, the software division of Bruker, we collaborate closely with the other SciY and Bruker companies, working together to achieve our goals.

To join our multinational team, we are looking someone who can:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Framework
• Utilize a Java Application Server to deploy and manage enterprise-grade applications
• Design and implement Java-based web services
• Integrate and optimize object-relational databases
• Collaborate in an Agile development environment, participating in sprints and stand-ups
• Utilize CI/CD tools to streamline development and deployment workflows
• Manage codebase using GIT, ensuring clean version control and collaboration
• Write and maintain Unit and Integration tests

Required qualifications and skills:

• Proven experience in Java backend development
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework and Java Application Servers
• Proficiency in object-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)
• Experience with Java-based web services (REST, SOAP)
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Solid understanding of GIT workflows
• Practical experience working in Agile teams
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
