Frontend Developer

Job Title: Front End React Developer (WebGL) – Contract

Location: Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite in London

Contract Length: 6 months

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Start Date: ASAP

Day Rate: £400 per day (Outside IR35)

Overview:

We’re looking for a skilled Front End React Developer with hands-on experience in WebGL to join our team on a contract basis. You’ll be working on a cutting-edge digital product that requires high-performance, interactive visual experiences. Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain interactive, high-performance web applications using React.js and WebGL
• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to deliver immersive user experiences
• Optimise rendering performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility
• Translate complex visual and interactive requirements into scalable front-end solutions
• Maintain clean, modular, and well-documented code
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to technical discussions

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong commercial experience with React.js
• Proven experience with WebGL (e.g., Three.js, Babylon.js or raw WebGL)
• Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, etc.)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end with backend services
• Strong debugging and performance optimisation skills
• Experience working in agile teams and using Git-based workflows

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with TypeScript
• Familiarity with Next.js or other SSR frameworks
• Exposure to 3D modelling tools or pipelines (e.g., Blender, glTF)
• Understanding of accessibility and responsive design
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
