Head of Engineering (Digital Assets / Blockchain / Web3)

Our client is a rapidly scaling Digital Assets / Blockchain / Web3 platform backed by prominent global investors. They are now seeking a Head of Engineering to drive their next stage of growth. This role is central to scaling enterprise-grade blockchain/Web3 infrastructure and will involve close collaboration with senior leadership, product teams, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a distributed engineering team of 25+, building a culture of innovation, accountability, and technical excellence.
• Remain hands-on across systems, platforms, and architecture.
• Act as a visible and persuasive technology leader with internal stakeholders, clients, and the broader industry.
• Ensure engineering initiatives are aligned with overall product strategy, innovation roadmap, and risk management frameworks.
• Manage resource allocation, vendor partnerships, and enterprise-wide technology delivery.
• Drive operational efficiency, optimize processes, and foster cross-team collaboration.

Experience Required

• 10+ years of technology leadership roles within fintechs, platforms, banks, or financial institutions.
• Direct, hands-on experience with Web3 and digital assets in live production environments.
• Hands-on experience with modern languages and frameworks such as Solidity, Python, blockchain protocols, Web3 tools and wallets.
• Proven ability to build and scale high-performing teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
