Senior Fullstack Engineer (React + Python)

Role Overview:

We're looking for a passionate and versatile Software Developer with strong experience in FastAPI, MongoDB, and ReactJS to join our core engineering team. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying secure, compliant, and performant software systems that support clinical workflows and data-driven diagnostics.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs using FastAPI to power clinical and lab data systems.
Build dynamic, intuitive, and accessible frontend interfaces using ReactJS for pathologists and lab staff.
Develop data pipelines and integrate MongoDB for structured and unstructured medical data storage.
Work closely with data scientists, pathologists, and UX designers to deliver clinical decision support tools powered by AI.
Ensure systems are HIPAA-compliant and aligned with SOC 2 Type II standards for security and reliability.
Collaborate in Agile sprints, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Maintain high availability and scalability in clinical environments, leveraging AWS services where needed.
Write robust unit and integration tests for backend and frontend components.
Participate in system architecture discussions and documentation, contributing to the overall product strategy.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on FastAPI, MongoDB, and ReactJS.
Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Solid understanding of RESTful API design, async programming, and database schema design for document stores.
Experience in building modern SPAs (Single Page Applications) using React and component-based architecture.
Familiarity with healthcare standards and secure data handling practices (e.g., HIPAA, PHI, FHIR).
Experience deploying and monitoring applications in a cloud environment (preferably AWS).
Git proficiency and comfort with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
