About The Role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Loyalty Team within the BX Online vertical. This is a key moment in our journey – we're wrapping up a multi-year digital transformation and embarking on the next big phase: designing and building a completely new customer loyalty proposition.

You'll work across the full development lifecycle, contributing to roadmap features, shaping product direction, and collaborating with a passionate, cross-functional team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Write, test, and deliver high-quality software with real customer impact
• Collaborate with product and engineering peers to build and ship roadmap features
• Take ownership of your work – and contribute across the full stack where needed
• Ensure your code is reliable, scalable, and easy to maintain
• Engage in proactive monitoring and incident resolution
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices within the team
• Bring new ideas and learning into the team – and stay curious about what's next
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Fluent in Java (11+) and the Spring Framework specifically SpringBoot or similar ( Quarkus , Micronaut )
• Strong understanding of HTTP and REST as an architectural style to build APIs.
• Fluent with asynchronous programming techniques and frameworks (in Java).
• Fluent in SQL and experience with RDBMS like Postgres and Oracle.
• Experience with Docker and docker-compose.
• Exposure to AWS specifically S3, Aurora, ElasticCache
• Exposure to modern CI/CD platforms like Gitlab (or similar GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
• Understands the importance of monitoring and proactive in resolving critical issues.
• Fluent in testing frameworks Junit, RestAssured
  

Desirable

• Exposure with monitoring and alerting platforms. Datadog, PagerDuty, Graphana, Prometheus
• Exposure in Python Scripting
• Exposure in deployment platforms like Kubernetes and tools like Helm
