DevOps Engineer

Job Title: DevOps Engineer – Marketing Data Platform

Duration: 12 months

Workload: Full time hours

Setup: Freelance (Daily rate Inside IR35)

Location: Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite in London

We're seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a global marketing data platform project, centralizing client profiles and consent preferences across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, TeamCity, and Jenkins
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and scripting (Shell/Powershell)
• Collaborate with architects to design cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Integrate and manage data flows using Azure Data Factory and Databricks
• Support Cloudera platform components including Hue, Hive, HDFS, and Spark
• Ensure secure and scalable deployment of marketing data to downstream platforms via API and bulk methods

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong experience with Terraform and Shell/Powershell scripting
• Proven DevOps expertise: IaC, CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, TeamCity, Jenkins
• Microsoft Azure: PaaS, Azure DevOps, Vault
• Azure Data Factory and Databricks
• IaaS and cloud architecture design

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Cloudera (Hue, Hive, HDFS, Spark)
• Background in Java, C#, or JavaScript development
• Familiarity with customer data and personalization projects
