Chief Sourcing & Procurement Officer

About the Role

We are seeking an outstanding Chief Sourcing & Procurement Officer (CPO) to lead and transform procurement across our large-scale, complex financial services organisation.

This high-profile executive role carries responsibility for enterprise-wide procurement strategy, oversight of significant Opex and Capex budgets (‘000s m), and the management of mission-critical supplier relationships — including contracts exceeding €100M.

The successful candidate will be a strategic leader and change agent, ensuring procurement delivers exceptional value for money, supports corporate goals, drives innovation, and upholds the highest standards of governance, compliance, and sustainability.

This is a unique opportunity to shape procurement & sourcing into a strategic value driver, delivering cost efficiency, resilience, supplier excellence, and sustainable growth in one of the most dynamic sectors in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive procurement and sourcing strategy aligned to business objectives.
  2. Manage large-scale Opex and Capex portfolios with a focus on cost optimisation, rate card management, and long-term value creation.
  3. Oversee strategic supplier relationships, including Tier 1 vendors with contracts over €100M+.
  4. Negotiate high-value agreements, ensuring commercial advantage while maintaining operational resilience.
  5. Drive procurement transformation through digital enablement, data-driven decision-making, and process excellence.

About You

  1. Senior executive procurement leader with experience in large financial services organisations (15,000+ employees).
  2. Proven track record managing multi-vendor portfolios with significant contracts over €100M.
  3. Expertise in strategic sourcing, cost optimisation, and rate card management.
  4. Skilled in contract negotiation, governance, and supplier performance management.
  5. Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at C-suite and Board level.
  6. Committed to ethical, sustainable, and socially responsible procurement.

How to Apply:

Please send your CV and a short executive statement highlighting your relevant scale of responsibility (organisation size, Opex/Capex managed), major contracts (including €100M+), setting up frameworks, and two transformation achievements.
