About the Role

Our large enterprise customer are hiring a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to protect their operations in Luxembourg, a key European hub for finance, data centers, and regulated industries. The role requires balancing cyber risk, regulatory compliance, and international security governance in one of the EU’s most regulated environments.

Responsibilities

Design and oversee a global security framework tailored to financial services, fintech, and critical infrastructure.

Ensure compliance with CSSF regulations, GDPR, NIS2, ISO 27001, and EU financial directives.

Lead the company’s cyber resilience program, reporting directly to the executive board.

Manage regulatory relationships with the CSSF, EU institutions, and local authorities.

Direct security operations including incident response, SOC management, and vendor risk management.

Establish KPIs and prepare regular board-level security reports.

Requirements

12+ years’ experience in financial services cyber security, with proven CISO or deputy-CISO background.

Deep understanding of Luxembourg’s financial regulatory landscape (CSSF, ECB, EBA requirements).

Strong leadership skills and ability to operate in highly regulated, cross-border environments.

Fluent in English, with French, German, or Luxembourgish as strong assets.

Relevant certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCISO required; financial compliance certifications a plus.
