Chief Information Security Officer

About the Role

Our large enterprise client are currently looking for a forward-thinking Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to drive the security strategy of our Dutch operations. The Netherlands is a global digital hub, requiring a CISO who can balance innovation, regulatory compliance, and resilience. You will partner with technology and business leaders to ensure cyber security is a key enabler of digital growth.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead a cloud-first and data-driven security strategy across the enterprise.

Ensure compliance with NIS2, GDPR, ISO 27001, and Dutch regulatory requirements.

Oversee cyber resilience programs with focus on cloud, DevSecOps, and digital transformation.

Represent security in board-level discussions and external audits.

Lead incident response and crisis management across international operations.

Foster a security-first culture through awareness and training programs.

Requirements

10+ years’ experience in cyber security, including leadership roles in cloud and enterprise security.

Experience with digital transformation, cloud security (Azure, AWS, GCP) and data protection.

Strong knowledge of Dutch regulatory environment and sector-specific requirements (finance, logistics, energy).

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Fluent in English, with Dutch preferred.

Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCISO, CCSK, CCSP are a plus.
