The Role

This entry-level role supports the DevOps team by handling simpler tasks, applying existing solutions, and contributing to automation and operational activities. The junior engineer is trained in the organisation’s DevOps practices and tools, gaining hands-on experience and preparing to take on more complex responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with infrastructure provisioning using predefined Terraform modules.

Support CI/CD pipeline maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

Perform housekeeping tasks such as FinOps checks and resource clean-up.

Document processes and contribute to internal knowledge bases.

Shadow senior engineers and participate in team ceremonies.

Key Technical Expertise

Basic understanding of cloud computing (Azure fundamentals)

CI/CD concepts and tools (Azure DevOps basics)

Terraform basics (variable usage, module consumption)

Monitoring fundamentals (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)

Key Soft Skills

Teamwork and willingness to learn

Basic agile understanding

Attention to detail and reliability
