Business Analyst

We have a current opportunity for a Business Analyst, on a contract basis within the Defence sector. The role is based in Canberra ACT. The contract is for an initial 12 month period, with a 2 x 12 month extension option.

Start: circa 02 December 2024

DSS Skill Set: Level 3 - Program & Product Management Services & Support

The Business Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

• Requirements Gathering and Analysis
• FIC Impact Assessment
• Data Analysis and Reporting
• Solution Design and Validation
• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
• Collaboration with Project Team
• Provide support and guidance on business analysis activities

Minimum mandatory requirements:

• AGSVA Security clearance
• Proven experience in analysing complex data, processes, and systems to identify business needs and opportunities for organisational improvement, especially within a Defence workforce or organisational change project.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with Defence stakeholders including ADF, APS and contractors.
• Excellent communication skills - demonstrated ability to convey complex information clearly and engage stakeholders effectively.
• A relevant Business Analysis qualification or certification and a minimum of five years' experience.
• Demonstrated experience to undertake the task successfully in an agile environment similar to the Land C4 Program - such as practical application of the Scaled Agile Framework SAFE.

• Problem-solving and adaptability - experience identifying and addressing challenges, adapting strategies and approaches to meet changing needs.
• Task management skills - demonstrated ability to manage multiple communication tasks and deliverables concurrently.
