The Role

As part of our new team it is very important to communicate and collaborate with other teams, therefore we are looking for team members that not only enjoy the technical work, but also enjoy collaboration with other teams to build great solutions. This role presents an opportunity to join a high performing team, become involved in global integrations and thrive within an autonomous environment.

As a Platform Technical Lead in Developers Experience at Arrive you will face all aspects of serving the needs of engineers at Arrive. Ultimately, we want to provide our engineers with the very latest and best tools and technologies and we are always looking for ways to exceed their expectations and surprise them with new and enhanced platform services!

Everyday life as Platform Technical Lead

• Together with a strong and supportive team you will plan and build new services and work to enhance existing services as part of a global organization with teams situated all over the world
• Deliver technical enhancements according to the team mission and overarching goals of the company
• Effectively use rollout procedures such as blue/green along with other techniques to minimize disruption and downtime while releasing new product capabilities
• Be a leader in driving adoption of your teams services across the engineering community while constantly seeking ways to improve those services and delight our customers
• As part of rotation within the team provide ongoing maintenance and 24/7 on-call support
• Be the driving force behind the product innovation according to the strong product leadership approach aka “Empowered teams”
• Take shared responsibility for the team goals and product quality
• Drive the architecture direction, discussions and decisions for your teams domain

Required Technical Skills

• A keen interest in learning new skills and working with new and evolving technology
• Experience working with GitHub actions, Prometheus, Helm, and Kubernetes
• Experience with and strong understanding of DevOps and Platform Engineering
• Experience with CI/CD and deployment tools
• Experience with Amazon, Google or Azure cloud
  
  

Good To Have Technical Skills

• Experience with Backstage or other Internal Developer Platforms
• Experience with argoCD, argo Workflows and similar technologies
• Understanding of micro service architecture
• Understanding of eventing services including (eg. Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS etc)
• Experience with python, node, or other programming languages
