Are you passionate about software asset management and ready to make a strategic impact? Our client is seeking a Software Officer to lead and evolve our software governance, compliance, and lifecycle management.

🔹 Location: Canberra

🔹 Clearance: NV1 Security Clearance required

💼 Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Operational Leadership

• Develop and implement SAM strategies aligned with client’s mission.
• Lead software deployment, usage tracking, and compliance initiatives.
• Mitigate risks related to software availability and licensing.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure procurement and licensing align with clients policies.

Tool & Documentation Management

• Enhance SAM tools and maintain accurate software asset records.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Provide expert guidance on software governance and licensing.
• Represent Client in external engagements and vendor negotiations.

Team & Budget Management

• Promote knowledge sharing and manage software budgets and resources.

🎓 Qualifications:

Essential:

• Certified SAFe® Practitioner (mandatory)
• Experience in software licensing, asset management, and vendor negotiation
• Familiarity with CMDBs and enterprise licensing agreements

Desirable:

• Diploma in IT Asset Management or equivalent
• Qualifications in Project Management or Systems Engineering
• Australian Government experience
