Data Scientist

Our client, an innovative SaaS scale-up in Antwerp, help enterprises turn complex data into actionable insights. Their platform is used by major players in the mobility sector, providing data analytics that drive smarter decisions and operational efficiency.

As they continue to evolve their platform, they are now looking to add a Data Scientist to their growing team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work with modern tools to design, train, and deploy models that bring real business impact. You will be working across data, AI and product development to improve the new features on the platform

Responsibilities

• Designing, training, and deploying machine learning models to power predictive insights.
• Exploring and experimenting with new deep learning techniques using PyTorch.
• Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and domain experts to translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
• Performing data wrangling, cleaning, and feature engineering using Python and Pandas.
• Leveraging AWS services for model training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Querying and managing relational databases (MySQL) to source and structure the right datasets.
• Monitoring model performance and continuously improving accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.
• Contributing to discussions around system design and how AI integrates into the wider SaaS platform.

Your Profile

• Solid background in Data Science / Machine Learning with hands-on industry experience.
• Proficiency in Python and common data science libraries.
• Strong experience with PyTorch (or TensorFlow) for building and deploying models.
• Good knowledge of data manipulation and analysis using Pandas.
• Experience working with databases, particularly MySQL.
• Familiarity with AWS services for model training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Strong analytical mindset, able to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• A collaborative, curious, and problem-solving approach to work.
