A leading Cisco Gold Partner is looking for an experienced Network Design Engineer to take ownership of large-scale customer networks across Ireland. This role is stepping in to replace a contractor who previously handled design responsibilities, and it’s now a chance to join a permanent team driving enterprise-grade projects across multiple sectors.

You’ll be working on network design and architecture with some hands-on implementation, while also providing escalation support at 3rd line when required. Expect exposure to complex networks for major customers such as transport, education, and manufacturing organisations, with plenty of opportunities to push technical standards forward.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Designing and overseeing enterprise network solutions – switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless
• Working with a wide vendor mix including Cisco, HPE Aruba, and Fortinet
• Providing technical oversight and guidance to senior and junior network engineers
• Escalation point for 3rd line issues when required
• Supporting the definition of project scope and monitoring delivery with the operations team
• Staying ahead of industry trends and driving continuous improvement across the network practice

🧠 What You’ll Bring:

• Strong background in network design and implementation across large-scale environments
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Routing, Switching, and Wireless
• Familiarity with HPE Aruba Networks & Wireless
• Knowledge of Fortinet Firewalls in enterprise setups
• Ability to balance design authority with occasional implementation and escalation work
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide technical colleagues

📍 The Package:

• €70,000–€80,000 base salary

• Flexible hybrid model: typically 3 days/week in the Dublin office (with some flexibility)
