Risk Analyst

Our client is a market leading alternative investment firm with over €100 billion AUM and a well-established and growing office in Luxembourg.

The Luxembourg-based AIFM is seeking an Analyst to support data collection, analytics, and quantitative tasks within the internal Risk Management function.

The team is responsible for profiling, analyzing, and managing various risks across all managed funds of the AIFM. Day-to-day responsibilities include data collection and analysis, producing risk reports, maintaining the risk database, and supporting other ad-hoc tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the AIFM, the wider group, and external service providers to collect and manage risk data
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis
• Prepare risk reports and presentations
• Support the development, use, and maintenance of analytical risk management tools
• Assist the team with ad-hoc risk-related queries

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be motivated to work in a data-driven Risk Management team.

We are seeking an assertive team player who is organized, proactive, able to work independently, and capable of communicating effectively across all levels of the organization.

A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and initiative are essential.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with and transforming datasets.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required, while additional programming knowledge (e.g., VBA, Python, SQL) and familiarity with tools such as Power BI and Bloomberg are considered advantageous.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a quantitative discipline
• Prior professional experience or internship in Luxembourg is an asset
• Strong command of English is required, as it is the office language
