Network Engineer to Sweco IT
The role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced network engineer to join our global network team at Sweco IT in the Netherlands. In this role you design, implement and maintain our organization network infrastructure. You will be closely collaborating with the IT-departments different teams and will contribute to the development of robust and secure network solutions. Having High social competence and being creative is a given. Part of your role will be to maintain and watch over the network infrastructure in our datacentres.
This is a hybrid role in a global team but may also involve being on-site in our datacentres or offices when needed. Travel within Europe may be necessary for cross border collaborations and project implementations.

Key responsibilities:
- Life cycle management
- Design, document and implement scalable network architectures that meet business goals.
- Conduct network assessments and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Oversee network security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize network performance.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience as network engineer
- Experienced with EVPN VXLAN
- Scripting skills, preferably with python and using ansible.
- Knowledge of BGP, switching, routing and firewalling
- Knowledge of cloud service providers such as Microsoft Azure.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with products from manufactures such as, HPE Aruba, Arista, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft Azure etc.

- Strong communication skills both verbal and in written form and ability to adjust communication depending on audience.
- You have a collaborative working style and ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders.
- Well organized and able to manage multiple priorities and tasks concurrently. You can work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.
- You have a creative mindset with a focus on shaping practically applicable, helpful, and valuable solutions.
