Systems Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

System Monitoring and Maintenance

• Monitor real-time trading systems to ensure smooth operations.
• Oversee system performance and take action on alerts or anomalies.
• Manage incident response and escalate issues appropriately.

Incident & Problem Management

• Lead resolution efforts for outages or system failures.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation and post-incident reviews.

Change Management

• Coordinate system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
• Ensure minimal disruption during deployment and maintenance windows.
• Work closely with development and QA teams to schedule and test changes.

Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery

• Ensure proper DR procedures are in place and tested regularly.
• Participate in business continuity planning and simulations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Certifications (optional but valued):
• ITIL Foundation or Intermediate
• PMP or similar project management certification
• CISSP (for security focus)

Experience:

• 7–10+ years in critical IT operations, preferably in financial markets or exchanges.
• Deep understanding of electronic trading platforms and high frequency systems.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems/TIBCO
• Experience with monitoring tools
• Scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Understanding of FIX protocols, market data feeds
