The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in theoretical control knowledge, mathematical modeling, and control algorithm optimization. A deep understanding of high-performance vehicle dynamics and advanced control theories is crucial to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply theoretical control knowledge to design and optimize navigation systems for high-speed vehicles.
- Create mathematical models to represent vehicle dynamics and control algorithms for navigation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure system stability and adaptability.
- Research, implement, and test advanced, adaptive, and predictive control theories to enhance navigation performance.
- Create path planning algorithms to plan collision-free paths for the robot, considering the robot dynamics.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong theoretical control knowledge with a focus on high-performance vehicle dynamics.
- Proficiency in mathematical modeling and optimization of control algorithms.
- Knowledge of advanced, adaptive, and predictive control theories.
- Knowledge and experience with system identification methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex navigation challenges.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with relevant software tools such as CasADI, ACADOS, convex optimization algorithms, MATLAB (navigation toolbox, system identification toolbox).
- Experience with ROS, ROS2, and their official navigation frameworks and controllers (Navigation2, move_base, TEB local planner, etc.).
- Experience with other optimization solvers such as Ceres Solver and qpOASES is a bonus.
- Experience with path planning (A*, RRT, OMPL).
Education: Master’s / PhD
