🎯 YOUR ROLE

For one of our key clients — a forward-thinking and well-established organization — we’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain a robust, future-proof data environment. You will work at the intersection of architecture and engineering, applying your expertise to design scalable data models and ensure data is a reliable, secure, and high-value asset for the business.

This role is central to the evolution of the company’s data platform, enabling more advanced analytics, reporting, and AI capabilities. You will collaborate with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure the platform is both technically strong and aligned with business needs.

Your responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining data models using Data Vault methodology.
• Building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing.
• Ensuring data quality, governance, and lineage across multiple data domains.
• Working closely with business analysts and data scientists to enable advanced analytics and reporting use cases.
• Driving improvements in performance, scalability, and reliability of the data platform.
• Advising on best practices for cloud and on-premise data architecture.
• Staying up to date with emerging data engineering trends and technologies.

Your skills and experience:

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer or similar role.
• Hands-on expertise with Data Vault methodology (essential).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data warehouse technologies.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data governance, quality, and security principles.
• Experience in cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is an asset.
