Head of Engineering

Our Odds88 Engineering team is growing, and we are looking for a Head of Engineering to join us on our journey!

Your day-to-day

• Lead and grow a globally distributed engineering team across frontend, backend, DevOps, QA, integrations, and account management.
• Deliver high-quality software on time by partnering with Product, Commercial, and Operations teams, balancing rapid feature delivery with managing technical debt.
• Shape engineering culture by fostering ownership, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Drive technical strategy for system reliability, observability, performance, incident management, and AI-driven capabilities.
• Champion best practices in architecture, security, deployment, and tooling to improve scalability, resilience, and efficiency.
• Optimise infrastructure by monitoring cloud costs, resource utilisation, and key performance metrics such as uptime, latency, and deployment frequency.

Your background and mindset

• Extensive engineering background with 10+ years in Development, DevOps, or SRE, and 4–5+ years in senior technical leadership managing distributed teams. .NET experience is a bonus.
• Proven ability to partner with Product to turn business needs into scalable, high-availability solutions in complex environments.
• Deep cloud expertise across AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern infrastructure tooling.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, fostering growth of technical talent and promoting Agile, Scrum, and Kanban practices.
• Domain and compliance knowledge in AI/ML applications (sports betting a plus), ISO 27001/20000, and regulated industries like iGaming.
• Clear communicator with excellent English skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences;
