The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with the Issuing OPS CCM South team, managing critical applications for the Dutch, Finnish, and Italian markets. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage the correct use of issuing applications during daily operations to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Resolve incidents, problems, and change requests efficiently to minimize operational impact.
  • Assess impact, estimate resolution times, and implement countermeasures during high-level incidents.
  • Initiate and follow through on improvement plans to prevent future issues and enhance system stability.
  • Support test and development teams during project phases and deployments.
  • Advise colleagues on best practices and operational procedures to promote a culture of excellence.
  • Produce quality improvement and business continuity plans to ensure ongoing operational resilience.
  • Set, check, and maintain conditions for implementing new or modified application components.
  • Contribute to key consolidation projects and help streamline application processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and operating instructions for system consistency and compliance.
  • Participate in department projects, representing the team’s interests and expertise.
  • Ensure the proper management and maintenance of applications, with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels regarding incident resolution and system changes.
  • Continuously monitor application health and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Support the onboarding of new applications and upgrades, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Foster a collaborative atmosphere that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Who Are We Looking For

We look for big thinkers—individuals who drive positive change with a proactive attitude, passion, and a hunger to learn. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s or University degree, preferably in Applied Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work accurately and independently under pressure.
  • Good communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
  • Affinity with application management and understanding of financial processing environments.
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL and TMAP frameworks (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Knowledge of application tools and infrastructure, including experience with mainframe environments is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Relevant experience in application management, incident resolution, and system monitoring.
  • Positive attitude, curious mind, and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
