Project Manager (Sustainability Engineering PMO)

Our client, global leader in e-commerce and technology services located in Kirchberg, is looking for a Project Manager (Sustainability Engineering PMO) for a period of 1 year to start ASAP.

This role supports the PMO function within a Sustainability Engineering team, driving project tracking, stakeholder coordination, and process standardization for infrastructure programs across Europe. As a central link between field teams and support functions, you will ensure the quality, cost-efficiency, and compliance of installations, particularly for EV charging and energy-efficiency projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the PMO function within the Sustainability Engineering team to ensure successful execution of infrastructure programs across Europe.
• Oversee the delivery of EV charger installations and energy-efficiency initiatives in multiple geographies.
• Drive centralized tracking of timelines, milestones, KPIs, risks, and dependencies across projects.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and program health reviews using advanced Excel and project management software.
• Provide administrative and operational support to field teams, including documentation, permitting workflows, procurement coordination, and cost tracking.
• Liaise with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders (Real Estate, Legal, EHS, Procurement, Finance) to resolve issues and maintain alignment.
• Monitor program-level KPIs such as cost per charger, uptime, and schedule adherence.
• Manage purchase orders, contracts, invoices, trackers, and compliance records with a focus on administrative excellence.
• Standardize processes, playbooks, and procedures to enable scalable project execution.
• Communicate project status, risks, and progress to senior stakeholders across multiple countries and functions.
  
  

Profile

• Proven experience in infrastructure PMO or project coordination roles within engineering, construction, or sustainability.
• Educational background in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is a plus.
• High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, dashboards, conditional formatting, data models).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation and process management.
• Ability to perform in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and deliver results through influence.
• Experience managing administrative processes such as purchase orders, contracts, and regulatory documentation.
• Fluency in English is required; German language skills are a strong asset.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred but not mandatory.
