The client we're partnering with is currently looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to play a vital role in protecting their systems and customer information from cyber threats, while also ensuring compliance with security regulations.
Overview of job responsibilities;
- In this dynamic and evolving sector, your work will be central to safeguarding the systems and ensuring compliance with security regulations.
- Continuously monitor security systems for anomalies and respond swiftly to potential incidents.
- Conduct detailed investigations into security breaches and provide comprehensive incident reports.
- Regularly evaluate IT infrastructure for vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities, particularly those related to blockchain technology.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, GDPR, and other relevant regulations).
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop strategies to address identified risks
- Lead security awareness training for employees.
- Develop, update, and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures.
About you;
Success in this role requires enthusiasm and someone who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Previous experience in conducting comprehensive analyses and investigations of cybersecurity incidents.
- Proficiency in using Security Information and Event Management systems for log analysis and alert creation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with clarity, impact, and influence.
- Data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to influence business stakeholders and manage IT provider service levels.
- Customer-focused, with an understanding of how cyber security contributes to customer trust.
- Self-starter with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks, and manage competing resources and demands.
- Strong knowledge of blockchain technology and security challenges in digital assets (highly desirable).
Offices in Melbourne and the team tends to go in 2-3 days per week.
