Deputy CFO (Remote)

About the company and the project:

An international investment fund that partners with visionary founders at every stage — from early launch to rapid growth — is looking for a Deputy CFO to join its team!

The company has been operating since 2014, supporting entrepreneurs in blockchain, artificial intelligence, robotics, and related fields, with the aim of building an open cybernetic economy. Its team has worked with leading crypto projects, offering support across operational and technological areas, as well as in security and research.

In this leadership role, the Deputy CFO will serve as a key partner to the CFO—overseeing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to strategic decisions. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of operational finance and executive leadership, with a clear path toward potentially stepping into the CFO role.

It is a fully remote position with flexible working hours, where you can plan your day and work from anywhere in the world.

Your tasks on the position:

• Assisting the CFO in developing and implementing the company's financial strategies to support business growth and long-term goals
• Overseing day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
• Managing budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to align financial resources with company objectives
• Monitoring and manage financial risks, including liquidity, credit, and market risks
• Acting as a liaison between the CFO and other departments to ensure alignment and efficiency
• Supporting M&A activities, fundraising, or other special projects as needed
• Acting as a change agent during organizational restructuring or process improvement efforts
• Stepping in as Acting CFO during the CFO's absence, representing the company at the executive level
  
  

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably with exposure to both operational and strategic financial management
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA/CPA/CFA preferred)
• Deep understanding of accounting standards, financial regulations, and compliance requirements
• Proven experience in managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
• Strategic mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
