Location: Cracow, hybrid model (office visits 6 times per month)

What you’ll do:

• Develop predictive models for credit scoring, loan deterioration, and time-to-default using advanced techniques like logistic regression, scorecards, survival models, and Markov chains.
• Explore and engineer features from behavioral and transactional credit data (payments, delinquencies, account activity).
• Ensure your models are performant, robust, and interpretable with tools like PSI, SHAP, and monitoring frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering teams to deploy models into production pipelines—batch or real-time scoring.
• Support model audit, validation, and documentation processes in a regulated environment.

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years experience as an ML Engineer or Data Scientist within financial or regulated environments.
• Deep knowledge of traditional risk modeling techniques (logistic regression, scorecard models, survival analysis, Markov chains).
• Hands-on experience with ML algorithms including XGBoost, LightGBM, Random Forest, or deep tabular models.
• Proficiency in Python (scikit-learn, xgboost, lifelines, SHAP, pandas) and SQL.
• Familiarity with credit risk regulatory frameworks (ECL, IFRS 9, Basel III).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex models to non-technical stakeholders like risk, compliance, and audit teams.
