Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong background in AI-driven solutions and modern backend architecture. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about building enterprise-grade software from scratch, working on large-scale, complex backend systems, and driving innovation in banking technology.

You will design and implement AI-powered backend applications, develop scalable infrastructures, and integrate cutting-edge cloud and DevOps technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize end-to-end backend architectures for complex, AI-powered applications.
• Build and maintain scalable, secure APIs (RESTful/GraphQL) and backend logic for AI-driven banking products.
• Work with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS a plus) to deploy and scale enterprise applications.
• Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in a CI/CD environment.
• Collaborate with AI and data science teams to integrate AI/ML models into backend systems.
• Ensure best practices in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation for seamless deployment.
• Lead efforts in software security, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and compliance in a banking environment.
• Conduct root cause analysis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting for production systems.
• Drive innovation by building banking products from the ground up, leveraging AI and big tech methodologies.

Professional Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering, preferably in banking or fintech.
• Strong proficiency in Python (must-have); experience with Rust or Golang is a plus.
• Experience in building enterprise-level applications with a focus on AI integration.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS a bonus).
• Expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures.
• Strong background in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Jenkins).
• Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Strong understanding of backend security, authentication, and compliance in a banking environment.
• Proven experience in developing products from scratch and bringing them to production.
