Are you an experienced project leader with a passion for delivering large-scale, high-impact infrastructure projects? We're looking for a visionary Project Director to spearhead the implementation of a Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) system that will shape the future of public transportation in Oslo.

This international, multi-year initiative spans across Germany and Norway, aiming to modernize Oslo’s metro network. With the first line going operational in October 2025, key milestones in 2027, and project completion by end of 2029, this role offers a unique opportunity to lead one of the most technologically advanced railway upgrades in Europe.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Project Director, you’ll be the driving force behind the full execution of the CBTC implementation program. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and managing a complex, cross-border project involving CBTC implementation, fleet retrofitting, cloud technologies, and advanced communication systems.
• Ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while meeting high standards for quality and safety.
• Building and directing a high-performing team of 100+ professionals across disciplines and geographies.
• Overseeing project structures, milestone tracking, commercial management, and transparent reporting to stakeholders.
• Managing relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and key partners to ensure seamless delivery.
• Coordinating installation and commissioning to meet critical operational deadlines.
• Serving as a visible, confident leader who inspires collaboration and execution excellence.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• A Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Science, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of senior project management experience with relevant certifications (e.g., PM@Siemens, PMI, or IPMA B-Level).
• Experience managing large-scale, international infrastructure or technology projects.
• Knowledge of communication and cloud technologies (an advantage).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to build and guide large multidisciplinary teams.
• A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset.
• Professional fluency in Norwegian and English language
