Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer SME to design, implement, and maintain advanced network infrastructures in support of mission-critical operations. This position combines strategic network planning with hands-on technical expertise and requires a proven ability to work in dynamic environments where adaptability and collaboration are key.

You will be joining a specialist consultancy that partners with prime customers, delivering expert support on high-impact programs. This role requires strong technical ability, adaptability, and the confidence to take ownership in less structured environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain secure network infrastructures (server-focused)
• Lead operational activities including upgrades and performance optimization
• Prepare technical proposals for engineering review boards
• Troubleshoot and restore networks to optimal performance
• Review and assess requests for network upgrades and provide technical guidance
• Ensure compliance with security policies, backup, and recovery standards
• Support integration of new technologies and acquisition of hardware/software
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert and provide leadership within the team
• Provide consultancy-level expertise to prime customers, adapting to varied mission needs
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Active TS/SCI with FS Poly clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years’ experience in network design, configuration, and administration
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, network protocols, and security technologies
• Proficiency with network monitoring and analysis tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to unstructured environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Preferred: CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent industry certifications
