Project Manager – Renewable Energy (Wind, Solar & BESS)

About Us

Smart4 Energy is partnering with some of Europe’s leading Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and EPCs, supporting them in building high-performing teams across wind, solar, and energy storage. With several major projects upcoming, we are building our Project Manager talent pipeline for Berlin and Northern Germany.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering renewable energy projects from development through to construction and operation. Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include:

• Managing wind, solar, or BESS projects through the full lifecycle.
• Overseeing construction contractors (BOP/EPC) and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Driving permitting, grid connection, and stakeholder approvals in Germany.
• Leading tendering and contract negotiations with external vendors.
• Acting as the central point of contact for internal teams, local authorities, and landowners.
• Providing structured reporting and ensuring smooth project handover to operations.

Skills and Experience:

• Degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related technical discipline.
• 5–8 years’ experience as a Project Manager in wind, solar, BESS, or energy infrastructure.
• Proven experience with contracts, tendering, and stakeholder management.
• Strong knowledge of German permitting and construction processes.
• German (C1) and English fluency required.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
