Senior Product Manager

Aerones
Latvia · Full-time · Mid-Senior

Aerones builds the intelligent software and robotic systems that extend the life of wind turbines and make complex field operations predictable, efficient, and safe. Our software team is driving the next wave of digital transformation for field operations—turning messy real-world workflows into scalable, high-leverage systems that deliver measurable impact

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the vision, strategy, and execution of digital tools that power Operational Excellence across Aerones' operations. This is a high-leverage role at the intersection of sales, project management, field operations, data/automation, and engineering. You'll build platforms and workflows that reduce variability, surface decision intelligence, and turn operational friction into predictable flow.

Location: Riga, Latvia

What You'll Own

  • Define and execute the multi-year product strategy for Operational Excellence tooling: workflow orchestration, automation layers, decision support, process observability, and adoption mechanisms
  • Embed with sales, project management, field and operations teams to surface real-world pain points, then translate those into scalable digital experiences
  • Design and ship products that reduce manual handoffs, enable proactive exception handling, and improve process compliance through data and automation
  • Drive adoption: build onboarding, feedback loops, and reinforcement mechanisms so new behaviors stick in operational contexts
  • Partner with engineering, analytics, and ops leadership to align on shared North Stars, metrics, and tradeoffs—balancing long-term platform leverage with short-term execution impact
  • Define, track, and act on true impact metrics (cycle variance, decision latency, process failure modes, internal user satisfaction, etc.)
  • Influence decentralized stakeholders via clear narratives grounded in data; prioritize ruthlessly for outcomes over output

What Success Looks Like

  • Core Operational Excellence tooling is adopted and actively used by sales, project management and field/ops teams
  • Measurable reduction in process friction, cycle variance, and escalations
  • Faster insight-to-action for operational deviations
  • High internal satisfaction / trust from operators and operators-as-customers
  • Platform primitives or automation layers that compound value over time (long-term leverage)

Requirements

  • 5+ years owning complex product initiatives, ideally in enterprise/internal software focused on operations, workflows, reliability, or process optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to translate messy field/operational realities into digital product solutions
  • Strong data literacy: you've defined KPIs, built observability into workflows, and used metrics to drive prioritization and iteration
  • Experience with workflow design, automation (rule-based, recommendation engines, decision support), and reducing cognitive load in operational contexts
  • Proven cross-functional leadership: aligning engineering, sales, PM, operations, and stakeholder groups without relying on formal authority
  • Clear communicator who can articulate tradeoffs and influence through narrative + evidence
  • Systems thinker: you recognize dependencies, design for flow, and anticipate unintended consequences

Good-to-Have

  • Background in industrial, field service, renewable energy, maintenance, or similarly complex and safety-/quality-constrained environments
  • Experience integrating with ERP/operational data systems, telemetry pipelines, or real-time decision systems
  • Familiarity with change management in distributed operational teams
  • Prior work on internal platform or tooling that scaled beyond the initial pilot

What We Offer

High-impact ownership in a mission-driven company transforming renewable energy operations.

A culture that values clarity, continuous improvement, and people-centered execution.

Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (sales, PM, field, engineering, data, leadership) and direct visibility to outcomes.

Flexible work model based out of Riga with global collaboration.

Learning budget, regular strategic off-sites, and a personal growth focus.
