You’ll design and scale microservices, own APIs, optimize performance, and build fault-tolerant systems from the ground up, directly impacting product, revenue, and global expansion. The Role

• Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices using modern languages like Python or Go
• Develop RESTful APIs to power web and mobile applications
• Build event-driven and asynchronous systems with tools like Kafka
• Deploy and manage services on AWS with Kubernetes and containerized workflows
• Continuously improve system design, performance, and reliability under load
• Own backend systems end-to-end, from architecture through deployment and ongoing iteration in production

The Person

• Proficient in backend development with modern languages such as Python or Go
• Background in building and scaling production-grade products end-to-end
• Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, and event-driven systems
• Hands-on with AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud-native deployment
• Comfortable working with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-ownership startup environments
