Investment Associate – Early Growth & Technology (Series A-C rounds)

Location: Geneva

Reporting Line: Partner, Investment Team

Team Structure: Individual Contributor within a Lean Investment Team

The Platform

Our client is an international investment firm deploying long-duration capital into transformative, growth-stage businesses at the convergence of innovation, scalability, and defensibility. Operating with a flexible mandate and sectoral conviction across technology-enabled verticals, the firm has established a differentiated sourcing approach, strong institutional backing, and an expanding European footprint, with Geneva positioned as a strategic node for continental coverage.

As part of the firm’s continued growth, they are seeking to add an Investment Associate to join their Geneva office's Early-Growth team (Series A-C rounds). The role offers a front-row seat to high-calibre transactions across Europe and select international markets, with significant exposure to partners, founders, and strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will operate across the full investment lifecycle—from thesis origination to execution and value creation—with a focus on emerging technologies and scalable platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Thematic Sourcing & Ecosystem Engagement

  • Develop and refine proprietary investment theses across emerging subsectors within software, data, digital infrastructure, and applied technology.
  • Build high-conviction pipelines through primary research, ecosystem mapping, and structured outreach across founder, advisor, and investor networks.
  • Attend and represent the firm at relevant industry events, demo days, and LP/GP roundtables to strengthen visibility and dealflow access.

Transaction Execution

  • Lead or contribute to the end-to-end investment process, including business model analysis, financial modelling, valuation, and scenario planning.
  • Coordinate multi-stakeholder due diligence efforts spanning commercial, legal, technical, and ESG dimensions.
  • Draft and present investment memoranda to the IC, articulating risk-reward dynamics, strategic rationale, and value creation levers.
  • Interface with legal counsel and external advisors to drive deal structuring and closing processes.

Portfolio Involvement & Strategic Support

  • Serve as a day-to-day interface to select portfolio companies, supporting founders and management teams on key initiatives.
  • Monitor operational KPIs, track value creation plans, and support internal reporting and LP communications.
  • Collaborate with portfolio CFOs and finance teams on forecasting, scenario analysis, and capital planning.
  • Support follow-on funding rounds, exit preparation, and potential secondary transactions.

Candidate Profile

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in growth equity, venture capital, investment banking (TMT or generalist), strategy consulting, or operating roles in high-growth tech businesses.
  • Demonstrable exposure to deal processes, including execution and due diligence across private markets transactions.
  • Advanced financial modelling and valuation capabilities, coupled with strong analytical and written communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach and the ability to operate autonomously in a dynamic, low-ego environment.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional European languages (especially French or German) are highly regarded.
