About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Core Java Developer with 12+ years of expertise in Java, particularly with Spring Boot and J2EE. This is a hands-on role requiring someone with both technical depth and a solution-oriented mindset. You’ll work on high-impact projects, collaborate across teams, and drive best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of Java-based applications (Spring Boot, J2EE) with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Design and implement REST and SOAP web services, ensuring high security and efficiency.
- Provide technical mentorship to a squad of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-quality development environment.
- Optimize application and database performance for end-to-end solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Core Competencies:
- Extensive Java expertise: Strong experience in Spring Boot, J2EE, and Web Services (REST, SOAP).
- Database optimization skills: Proficiency in SQL, tuning, and transaction management.
- Cloud and security knowledge: Familiarity with AWS/Azure, containers (Kubernetes/OpenShift), and application security (OWASP Top 10).
- Effective communication: Ability to work with team members and stakeholders effectively.
Preferred Experience:
- Background in Financial Services or Insurance.
- Understanding of web development (Angular, JavaScript) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
