About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled PHP Developer to join a prominent organization based in Hull on a contractual basis. This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced developer to contribute to innovative projects and support the organization’s digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will be available immediately to start and possess a strong technical background in PHP development. Working remotely, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, enhance, and maintain scalable web applications that meet high standards of quality and performance. This position is contract-based until the end of 2025, providing stability and the chance to make a significant impact within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a PHP Developer with a strong portfolio of projects
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and Azure DevOps
• Experience with version control systems, particularly GitHub
• Good working knowledge of front-end technologies such as React and JavaScript
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing and scalable code development
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to evolving project requirements
  
  

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality PHP applications aligned with project requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and functionalities
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Utilize Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment processes
• Maintain and optimize existing applications for performance, security, and scalability
• Contribute to technical documentation and provide support during the development lifecycle
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions as appropriate
