We are a HealthTech startup on a mission to become the #1 provider for treating and diagnosing neurological disorders. We are looking for Android Developers (mid to senior) to join our team and play a significant role in developing our location- and time-independent neurotherapy app. Your task will be to develop the exercises/games of the app so that they can be operated smoothly on Android tablets and synchronise in real-time with our database. Therefore, clean and reusable code is important. It is also beneficial to have an eye for aesthetics when it comes to design.

Tasks

  • Work on a solution that truly helps people!
  • Implement modern and intuitively usable designs.
  • Work with native and cross-platform game frameworks.
  • Develop scientific games that are evidence-based and increase cognitive performance.
  • Utilise techniques such as PyTorch Mobile to make machine learning solutions available offline.


Responsibility

Depending on your profile, you will work on the following topics:

  • Further development of scientific games and exercises in the areas of language, cognition, and everyday skills.
  • Improvement of the app, which is built with Kotlin, Hilt, Coroutines, Flows,ViewModels, etc.
  • Smooth communication with multiple cloud databases, cloud functions and other APIs.
  • Optimising the user experience for speech recognition, speech synthesis, personalised feedback, etc.


Requirements

Minimum:

  • Passion for modern and clean UI/UX design.
  • HTL/Bachelor/Master degree or extensive practical experience in computer science or similar subjects.
  • Practical experience in developing mobile applications for Android.
  • Good programming skills in Kotlin.
  • Professional experience in software development (knowledge of software design patterns, knowledge of using git, etc.).
  • Enjoy working independently and with responsibility.


Nice to have:

  • Successful Android apps.
  • Experience in performance optimization.
  • Experience with NoSQL cloud databases like Firebase.
  • Experience with cross-platform game engines (Unity, Solar2D, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of machine learning.
